unMAMEd Data East Games

Nice On (Data East, 8?)

Pictures taken from Arcade Flyer Archive
Appears to be a licensed version of Exidy's Rip Cord. Thanks to Diet Go Go Fan for pointing it out.

Mad Lander (Data East, 80)
This game might not exist. It may be another version of Mad Alien / Mad Rider.

Mole Hunter (Data East, 80)

Pictures taken from Arcade Flyer Archive
Protect your peanuts against the moles, especially the deadly "grandfather" mole.

Terranean (Data East, 80)
The dedicated version is not dumped.

Treasure Island (Data East, 81)
The dedicated version is not working in MAME. The cassette version, however, does work.

Pro Golf (Data East, 81)
Info from gregf:
The set working might be from a bootleg pcb. The other set (not working) appears to be from an original Data East pcb.

DECO Cassette System (Data East, 80-85)
I have also made a full listing of cassette games with release numbers, converted from the list found at Arcade History.

Gekitsui Oh / Zero Target (Data East, 85)
Why it's not emulated
Need better ROZ layer implementation.

Counter Steer (Data East, 85)
Why it's not emulated (Bryan):
Should be in Mame soon-ish, Zero Target runs on related hardware.
Why it's not emulated (WHATSNEW.TXT):
Various things not yet understood.

Hang-Zo (Data East?, 91? [unreleased])

ShimaPong scans from a Japanese magazine.
Info from ShimaPong:
8-way stick and 3 buttons (Attack, Jump and shuriken). When you hold down shuriken, you can charge your shot. Attack + Jump triggers a limited "Ninpou" attack. The characters are Kotarou, Hanzou and Kasumi. Total of 5 stages and you can see the ending, so perhaps the game was finished.
There's no information about the manufacturer and year, not even in the title screen, however the board is very similar to DECO's Wolf Fang/Rohga (1991) so it may be developed by Data East.

High Seas Havoc (Data East, 93)

Fighter's History Dynamite (Data East, 94)
In MAME under the name Karnov's Revenge/Fighter's History Dynamite.

Cosmic Avengers (Data East, 94(?))
This is a clone of "Avengers in Galactic Storm", which is supported in MAME.

Air Walkers (Data East [ever finished?, Model 2], 96)

Flyer pictures taken from Emulation Status

Kiss Off (Data East [ST-V], 96)
World version of "Mausuke no Ojama the World".
